Cookie

CSPricer sets no tracking cookies. Its only cookies are the browser check's clearance and, if you choose to sign in with Steam, the sign-in cookie. Both are strictly necessary, which is why you did not see a cookie banner.

What we use instead

Your theme and a few display choices are saved in your browser's local storage. This is storage you asked for by using those features, it is not sent to us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser's site settings. One more entry holds the date of your last visit, so that anonymous visitor statistics can tell a returning visit from a first one: it holds no identifier, only the number of days since that date is sent, it starts over after 13 months, and it is not used when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track (see the privacy policy).

The exceptions

• Browser check. When our browser check asks your browser to show it is not an automated scraper, it sets one cookie, cspricer_bv, for 24 hours, so you are not asked again on every page (only a very long session, several hundred pages, is checked again). It holds an expiry time and a signature tied to your browser's user-agent and language; it identifies nobody, cannot be read by scripts, and we keep no copy of it. The check may show Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in a frame from Cloudflare under Cloudflare's own terms.
• Sign-in (only if you sign in with Steam). A session cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days from your last visit and is removed when you sign out. A second cookie lives 15 minutes and protects the round trip to Steam while you sign in. Both are strictly necessary for the sign-in you asked for, are unreadable by scripts, and are only ever sent to our sign-in service (which also answers the Inventory page), never with the pages you read.
• Our network provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to check that a visitor is not an automated attack. It is not used for tracking.
• The owner's private administration area uses a login cookie. Visitors never encounter it.
